A Poet’s Words on Wealth

I’m working on one of my writing projects and I just ran across this wonderful quote from the poet Rainer Maria Rilke:

If your everyday life seems poor, don’t

blame it; blame yourself; admit to

yourself that you are not enough of a poet

to call forth its riches; because for the

creator there is no poverty and no poor

indifferent place.

My response: WOW. I knew those poets were on to something!
